Hello Friends of Leyden Glen Lamb:
Winter is over and spring is finally here. I took this photo earlier today. My how green the grass is! Last week it was barely growing and this week, it’s bright green. The sheep and lambs are happy to have their “salad.”
A quick note tonight to let you know that we will be at the Amherst Farmers Market tomorrow (Saturday the 20th) from 8 - 1:30. We are excited about the new year on the Common and hope we will see you there. We are really looking forward to seeing all of you after a long winter break.
We had a successful lambing season this winter with almost 200 lambs born. They are growing fast. Here’s a short video of the barn during lambing season.
Here’s another short video beginning with Mark feeding one of his bottle lambs. He is such an amazing sheep farmer caring for each and every lamb. He has fed several bottle lambs this year, just like years past. They have to be fed 3-4 times a day — It’s a labor of love for sure.
Hope to see you tomorrow.
Your shepherds,
Mark and Kristin
