Hello Lamb Friends:
Last week, I was away on an island 7 miles out in the Atlantic off the coast of Maine. I stayed longer than I thought I would because I was having such a fantastic time with old friends. We feasted, we visited, we saw art and made art. We ate lobster and lamb. We went to Rock Beach and I carried home some new rocks to hold down the recipes on our market stand. The number of conversations that have been started because of those beautiful rocks is remarkable.
Today we took Annie for a training session with Denise Leonard. Here’s a short video of Mark and Denise, Annie and 4 sheep. She’s doing good and hopefully we will get her there again soon. The goal of the lesson was to keep her off the sheep instead of diving in. One hour with a pro really helped Mark and Annie. And she is close by in Greenfield.
Good news! Sweet Italian Lamb Sausage is back in stock. Stop on by the market tomorrow from 8 to 1:30 and pick some up for the July 4th holiday. I’ll also have some new mugs and pottery with me.
And we have a new litter of kittens looking for homes….. two calicoes and two black and white fluffballs. Stop by our stand and I’ll show you some more photos.
Hope to see you tomorrow at the Amherst Farmers Market. Fingers crossed it won’t rain.
Your Shepherds,
Kristin and Mark
