Spring Greetings from Leyden Glen Farm
Hello Lamb Friends:
Popping in this morning to wish you and yours best wishes for the spring season. Here’s a fun photo I took of our lamb Olympia wearing a handknit and felted floral lei. I haven’t shared this project with our lamb customers ever and thought the Easter season would be the perfect chance to send to you.
We’ve had a busy winter season here in Leyden. Many, many, many lambs have arrived and are still coming. Soon, the sheep will be moving out onto pastures in Bernardston and Leyden. Before that we will have to wait for the grass to grow and the ground to firm up. The sheep are really looking forward to the green grass - as are the farmers.
We will be vending at thhe Amherst Farmers Market this season. This is our 14th year doing local farmers markets. Where has the time gone? The first market is April 22nd on the Common in Amherst from 7:30 to 1:30. Hope to see you there. If you aren’t local, remember to support your own local sheep farmers.
Until then, get out and enjoy the good weather coming this week.
Our best for the Easter holiday,
Mark and Kristin
